Miriam Marguerita Gomez Witmer, Ph.D., is an award-winning educator, mental health provider, and mentor with a passion for teaching, consulting, and speaking. Her mission is to help individuals and organizations maximize their full potential while focusing on effective interpersonal relationships and mutual goals. She is a veteran teacher of graduate, undergraduate and high school students. She has consulted with numerous school districts and colleges and she is an inspirational public speaker.

 

Miriam earned her BS in English Education/Communications and her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University. She earned her doctorate in Education with an expertise in Educational Psychology from Temple University. She has experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in educational psychology, issues in secondary education, instructional technology, and mentoring student teachers. For the past 10 years she has also coordinated a mentoring program and facilitated in-school college readiness seminars to support urban middle school and high school students’ desires to attend college.

As a veteran speaker, teacher, therapist, and community leader, Miriam has presented, consulted and conducted trainings on numerous topics including: mentoring, team building, diversifying the teacher work force, embracing diversity, supporting students of color, urban education, grant writing, fundraising, interpersonal and communication skills, multicultural education, college readiness, supporting students in academic transitions, leadership training, parenting, and engaging all learners (strategies for success).
